Making Props/Masks and other build videos (New Channel)

So as a complimentary channel my normal food channel youtube.com/whatchef

I have set up second channel for build videos,

My second video for my new channel, was a rotted wood mask (or pirate ship deck mask) for Halloween.

My first video was my take on a Rick & Morty portal gun. I emphasise, my take

Basically as my food videos get more and more FX added to them, ive also needed quick props or masks, so I thought why not film them. Its a hobby anyway, of course I/ wont be as frequently uploading as I do on whatchef channel but  since Im making things anyway filming them is easy enough.

HitFilm is my editor of choice as always...

  • Fun stuff!  I like the mask concept a lot.  Very clever using broken popsicle sticks!

Production-wise, my one comment is about the "Timelapse" title.  Frankly, it's unnecessary.  You've already vocally announced it, so just cut straight to the time-lapse footage.

  • What he ^ said. You're eating into the time that you saved when you timelapsed it. :)

  • Thanks for feedback. Good point will remove time-lapse title Next video..

  • The remote control LED's were a fun touch. The whole thing turned out much cooler than I was first imagining what it would look like!
