@CedricBonnier - Thank you!
A quick test this morning shows this working as you described. Thought my original issue was the same but I obviously must have done something differently and didn't notice.
Thank you all!
Thank you all for your time and input! This is a great place to try to figure things out.
@jsbarrett - while I understand what you're saying, I was trying to adjust existing points on the curve and not add or remove them over time.
Thank you @Triem23 and @NormanPCN for your responses, however I'm still not sure if I need a different understanding of how keyframes and Curves work or if there is an actual glitch. Norman's video shows what I've been experiencing for the most par…
So, after going to the Boris website I read that the EPS Extruded feature works specifically with layered Adobe Illustrator files and (it seems) .eps files created in Illustrator.
I guess the next step is to write to Boris for expanded format compa…
@Triem23, you are a wealth of knowledge! I mistook your meaning in your original reply when you said you can place a blur on the model layer - I thought you meant the individual models in the model stack.
Thanks as always, @Triem23!
I did know about placing all of the models on one layer but one of the models looked sharper than the other and I couldn't blur just the one. I ended up adjusting the texture in Photoshop which helped a lot.
Wow! That was fast!
A grade layer isn't going to work for the situation because of the other layers below the one I want blurred.
I tried embedding a composite shot but the composited model doesn't interact properly with another model in the scene…
Here's one way to do it.
There are several presets on this page from @inScapeDigital. They are created by other Hitfilm users such as @Triem23.
@Triem23 - After three read-throughs you pointed me in a direction with a theory. Got it working!
I have a rendered 3D clip with it's Z-pass and I wanted to integrate a clip of some smoke / fog into it. The piece of the puzzle I was missing was to …
KevinTheFilmmakerAndy001z. GoT is a fantasy based show which requires a large amount VFX dressing to sell the concept. I think that if they didn't go to the extent that they do, it wouldn't look as convincing as it does (to most).
It does seem that…
@NormanPCN - Thank you for the short and informative video! I would have thought that a tutorial like this would have been found under 3D Models 101. Clearly a subject that gets taken for granted. Spending a 1:37 watching this (without audio too) ca…
Wasn't there something about variable frame rate footage and Hitfilm not liking that type of file? You can get a good track in Mocha but it falls apart once in Hitfilm?
Are you using cellphone video?
Just a thought.
Edit: Found it.
