  • Think this will be useful for you  http://www.anandtech.com/show/9793/best-cpus Also more unbiased than others.

  • @CedricBonnier I think I need to check Houdini rendering settings, since appear there are some odd behavior in just this and another couple of frames. Thanks!
  • This was last year, I used DAVID3 scanner (now HP 3D scan). To reduce poly and mesh repair I did find really useful GOM Inspect, free but powerful and with professional tools. I did finally give up in baking and simply paint the resulted mesh in 3…
  •  @Industrystandard some Moderator (i.e. @Triem23) will know for sure, but I suppose since you are new this is standard procedure up to some n° of approved posts. Seen in other forums, probably to avoid robo spamming.
  • @Industrystandard curious to know your HFP performances experience on such a system.
  • GTX 1050 2GB can be found on Amazon.com at around $110-$130. RX 560 2GB can be found on the same site for the same price.  @Industrystandard it all depends what's "acceptable" performance for you. Current gaming benchmarks for the Vega FE set them…
  • The OP asked for a 1050 and I did say RX 560 is the direct competitor with th same 75w TDP and similar performances. This can be found at about the same price, I suppose not powerful enough for miners focusing on 570 and 580.
  • On the other side of the market worth considering also the RX 560 as 1050 equivalent.  RX 570 will be a much better choice but with the crazy cryptomining prices will be hard to find one at fair price.
  • About the image size, checked using Affinity Photo and MediaInfo and they are all set as 1280x720. InfranView for some reason didn't count the upper transparent part. Transforming all the images into 1280x720 png the video sequence disappear at 1:1…
  • Sent using the support form
  • In fact the image is always rendered with the same size, just does have a transparent part with variable size.
  • Maybe someone else does already point out this option, but I tested Davinci Resolve 14 free and he come with a lot of codec for format conversion, included DNxHD. Really using a cannon for such a specific task, but this was the easier way I find wi…
  • Many thanks for the expert suggestions. Do you think a small 1-2 crew will be enough, or something more extensive will be needed. In your opinion will be enough standard professional FullHD cameras or 4k is necessary. Also about light this is somet…
  • If you need to load your video on YT or use some media streamer you can try (if it's not already) do re-encode using h265 instead of h264 codec. Is supposed to maintain the quality and reduce the size, or same size for more quality (was created for…
  • @Aladdin4d that list it's in fact my extremely carefully selected for max quality for the lower cost and what I will got as soon will change my PC. Only difference for my rig I'll invest a bit more on the PSU with a fully modular Corsair RMx 550w, …
  • @Aladdin4d really I was searching your post, what did you get? @Zack2559 you can of course save $200 starting with a Ryzen 1500X (4 core, you can upgrade later), 8GB Ram, one disk, cheaper case i.e. Cooler Master CM 590 III. I also tweaked a bit t…
  • This is $1000 but IMHO is good in every part. You can easily overclock the CPU to 3.8Ghz with stock cooler and with 6 core will be good for multimedia in general, GPU it's GTX 1060 equivalent with 8GB VRAM instead of 6, PSU 80+ gold excellent qualit…
  • Just to leave some maybe useful answer I was able (with the fundamental input of Millumin creator) to encode the .png image sequence created from HFP into ProRes-4444 using this command ffmpeg -r 60 -f image2 -s 1920x1080 -i image%03d.png -codec pr…
  • Today test day. Finally resolved cutting the whole thing, will be used an animated loop of sparkling water, recolored as champagne using HF. Thanks for the useful and interesting suggestions!
  • Testing myFFMpeg, nice but slow, also the produced ProRes mov didn't have the alpha channel.
  • Testing Davinci Resolve appear does have a lot of available formats to produce from a image sequence, except ProRes. There are any user frendly sw transcoding in ProRes a image sequence? @NormanPCN I looked at your scripts and didn't understand wh…
  • Selecting QT as export format I didn't find a ProRes codec to choose. I've the latest Win QT installed, need I something else.
  • Maybe a too big term for an NPO, but this is the role : define the event history, choreographies, approve all scenic and communication material, coordinate all the people working to produce a live  event for last year 300 paying  spectators. So I ne…
  • The art director told me no bottle need to be seen, only the foam/bubbles. I see difficulties to key not only the background but the bottle also. Need to try particle simulator maybe for some simple foam...
  • Downloaded a YT video will try to chroma key this one first. https://youtu.be/xAMBIXcG76s
  • Didn't have time nor material for real footage, looking at stock didn't make sense pay $50 for a 5 sec video need to be used just one time. Need to be ready for Saturday  so I'll need to prepare it myself or just skip the whole part in the show.
  • If you want max portability and powerful GPU now that you have the laptop you can always use eGPU config. Need to spend some money (i.e. Akitio Node is selling at $290 + the GPU cost),  but you can do funny things (i.e. use your PC GPU if you plan …
  • @Triem23 I'm not asking anything, I follow your suggestion to post here my suggestions :-). I think a more powerful particle system can ease the work in HF, but from latest two releases appear this is not the direction HFP is going to follow, focu…
  • @ToddGroves https://youtu.be/6hqoAQks4XE Also with C4D native integration you can shatter whatever you want. Of course I'm exploring alternatives, this is just my suggestion. @JMcAllister I need probably to rephrase: an atomic particle system wi…
