I'd been working for a few years as a CG character animator before several colleagues and I got to sit with a traditional Disney animator and get a crash course in taking our work to the next level, and among the topics we covered were timing and spacing. I'd been kind of just using them blindly up to that point, but really diving into them was an eye opener.
