When does it unexpectedly quit? During launch?  When you try to import video? When you use a certain tool? When you export? Did it launch properly in the past, and this problem just started occurring?  Or did you only recently install, and it has always behaved this way?

    Have you already contacted support?

What are the specs of your Mac?
    CPU:
    Graphics Card:
    RAM:

  • During launch. Every time. Never have been able to start it.

  • iMac (27-inch, Mid 2010)

    2.93 GHz Intel Core i7

    16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

SteveXRoss - If you create a new user account on your Mac, and run the software again, does the problem persist?

  • I created a new user account and if I start the app, it just does nothing. No fault but it doesn't start.

  • I get the same issue with HitFilm Pro 3 (Builds 3.1.0031 and 3.1.0085) for Mac.

I've uninstalled and re-installed,  I've tried deleted all Files, Preferences, Application Support, Caches etc and won't launch.

If I rename CreditsTextCrawl.hfpl then it solves the problem and launches without issue so it appears to be related to that Plugin.

    I am running on a 15" MacBook Pro Retina i7 2.7Ghz, Nvidia Geforce GT 650M 1GB and 16GB RAM.

  • Spoke to soon, this only solves allowing the Activation to load.  When I load the application it just flashes open and then quits.  No error messages are given.
