Replace 3D Object

I have a 3D object in a composite shot.   I want to replace it with an updated version of the 3D object.
Is there a way to just replace the object?   Or, failing that, is there a way to copy transform settings from the original to apply to a newly imported object?

You can't replace it with all the settings intact, but you can copy and paste your settings to the new model.
*I'm not in front of HF, but I think you can select multiple settings and copy/paste them too. You dont have to do them one at a time.

Thanks for the quick response, Null.
Your suggestion works!  I Imported the revised object, dropped it into the composite shot.  Then went to World Transform and held down the shift key to select all the options.  Right click to copy, then select the transform options on the new object, right click to paste.
    Certainly a good workaround.
Something for the wish list to the dev's, though, would be to be able to right click on an object in the composite shot and just do a wholesale replace without the extra steps.
