Action Movie Style Music Video (and others) Editing and VFX done in HitFilm

edited February 14 in HitFilm User Gallery

Here are a few music videos from music I (Flewit) have written and/or produced. All visual effects were added using HitFilm. Let me know what you guys think!

  • @Flewit Nicely done!  The first clip kind of screams, "Hey, look. I got muzzle flashes and stuff!"   But the last two vids are a little more subtle on the effects.   You kind of forget they are there.  Which is what you want.  Effects should enhance not detract.

And I think you've achieved that.  Good production values, too!

Ok.  Now you have to give us a little more detail.  Which version of HF?  What did you shoot with?  Issues with transcoding?

(showing my age:  To this day I have a hard time watching white kids do rap.)  But that's on me.  Good job all around!

  • @Stargazer54 thanks for the feedback! I totally understand how the first clip seemed to highlight the effects... I honestly was just dying to test them out. Haven't made an action film in years. I used Hitfilm Pro 2017 for the action clip, and Hitfilm 4 Pro for the rest and I shot using a Canon T2i with a 50 mm f/1.8 lens. Did some minor editing in iMovie for all of them, just because it runs faster for certain things on my computer (MacBook Pro 2011). Also I totally understand about the rapping thing. Wasn't initially my plan to become a rapper, kids just seem to dig it these days! Lol. I'm more of a classic rock guy.
