Hitfilm 3 express (free) crashes occasionally but it mostly happens when or after I use Tracking
Most of the time when I close the project the error pops out
"we're sorry Hitfilm 3 express encountered a problem and has to exit"
"to help us fix the problem please send crash report to us"
"send" Yes I sent
Still crashing this time with masking
When will someone respond or contact me?
Many times it doesn't crash but the few are really annoying .
alawadhi, Sorry you are having trouble with the software & please accept my apologies for the late reply.I've taken a look at your error report & can see you are using a laptop that has multiple GPU's, one being the Intel HD 5500 & the other being the Nvidia 940M. I can see your driver for the Intel HD is from August 2015, so can you do the following for me:1) Please update the Intel driver using the link here2) Please update the Nvidia driver using the link here3) Please make sure HitFilm 3 Express is set to use the Nvidia 940M GPU when launching the software, you can read about that hereThanks,Ady
I was wondering what would be the best card between amd hd 6470m, and intel hd 5500.
I would have an intel i7 and 8go of ram.
Based off this, I would say the Intel HD 5500.
Or comparing these.
But, to be blunt, both these cards are pretty crap, not far above minimum spec for Hitfilm. What's your laptop budget? Almost any other GPU will be better than these two.
The HD 6470m is already a legacy GPU with the last stable driver released about a year ago. There is a newer beta driver available but there's no support and won't be any bug fixes.

Hi, I want to know if Hitfilm 4 express will work smoothly in Inspiron 3558 15.6-inch Laptop (Core i3-5005U/4GB/1TB/Windows 10 Home/Integrated Graphics)?
Also, no where in the product details does it indicate if it is 64 bit, will this work on 32 bit?
@VSG your question has been addressed in your thread. :-)
Please don't ask the same question in two forum locations. That tends to fragment responses and clutter things up.
