How do I update graphics drivers?

It is very important to have up-to-date drivers for your graphics card when using HitFilm.  This article tells you everything you need to know to get up and running.

How to identify your graphics card

Before you can update your drivers you need to know what graphics card your computer uses.

Windows 7 users:

  1. Open the Start menu
  2. Type Device Manager into the Search bar and press return
  3. Click Display Adapters to expand the section
  4. Your Make and Model of graphics card will be displayed

Windows 8 users:

  1. Press the Windows Key + X
  2. Select the Device Manager from the Menu
  3. Click Display Adapters to expand the section
  4. Your Make & Model of graphics card will now be displayed

Windows 10 users:

  1. Open the Start menu
  2. Type Device Manager into the Search bar and press return
  3. Click Display Adapters to expand the section
  4. Your Make and Model of graphics card will be displayed
